PONCHOBLE WEEKEND

This purple-turquoise color combo makes me crazy about as much, as the authentic design of this OLGA FISCH poncho, that arrived to me from Ecuador. OLGA FISCH is one of a kind “craft station” that helps local artisans to sell and distribute their crafts all over the world.

This model is a touch of traditional Ecuadorian Indigenous poncho. It was hand loom woven by Ecuadorian artisans from 100% artisanal sheep wool. For you to better understand how it’s done, here is the process of weaving a poncho similar to this one. You can see the Indigenous Salasaca women wearing ponchos:

Shoes. It seems like ELIZABETH HANDMADE SHOES boho pom-pom sandals make a good fit to my outerwear. Based in Athens, Greece the brand uses the finest leather to make lots of sandal’s models for women and children. Sometimes they come in the same look-alike way and beautify the family look.

I also should say a few words about these two amazing things that I hold in my hands:

First one is ARTIFACT UPRISING photo book that you can design online yourself by choosing the cover color and putting pics and initials on it. Album has ultra-thick pages that makes it look very solid and unique. You can start making you collection here.

Second thing is GOORIN BROS. woolen hat. This brand is around over 100 years! Cassel Goorin starts his business in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by selling hand made hats from horse-drawn cart. Excellent quality and real care about his customers (Cassel used to stop people who bought his hats and ask if they like them) brought him respect and recognition. And since then there were two things that he never left: hat making and fishing. You can find more interesting historical facts here.
