Boston streets and downtown

TWO DAYS IN BOSTON

To those of you who love Europe, nice tiny streets with touch of a history and just overall great city atmosphere – go visit Boston. At the beginning of our trip I’ve to remind myself several times that we are actually in States. That close this city is to some of its European brothers or, better to say, grandfathers. Streets are bricklayered, people look smart, houses are solid made and their signs saying 18th century here, 17th center there.. See? European city at its best! So, big plus here. Downtown is compact and understandable. We crossed it from start to bottom several times in 1-1.5 hours, which is good for a 667 thousand people area. World known university and its close proximity added another plus to Boston because of lots of walkable and green areas and many educated youth. At evening streets filled with slowly walking people and light music form a Boston Common park.  Some say it’s rude and cold others it’s way too windy. Yes, it’s windy, yes it has harsh winters, but Jesus how pretty and historically rich this city is…
